SRINAGAR — The employees of the Power Development Department (PDD) have called off their indefinite strike on late Monday night following an assurance from the Jammu and Kashmir administration.
With the J&K administration agreeing to all demands of the employees in principle, employees are currently on restoration work with immediate effect.
The administration has agreed to set up a committee to look into the issues pertaining to the problems that PDD engineers face.
A decision to hold the joint venture that it wanted to sign with the Power Grid Corporation of India was also taken. Now a committee comprising all stakeholders would make recommendations on way forward.
