Lashkar militant associate arrested in Baramulla, says police

SRINAGAR — Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a militant associate of Lashkar-i-Toiba (LeT) militant outfit in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Police in a statement said, “Baramulla Police along with units of Army arrested a militant associate of Lashkar e Toiba (LeT) upon the receipt of a specific input during a special naka laid at Kralhar railway crossing in Baramulla”, adding “10 rounds of pistol were recovered from his possession.”

The militant associate has been identified as Faisal Ahmed Dar S/O Mushtaq Ahmed Dar R/O Maldera Shopian.

An FIR No. 271/2021 of PS Baramulla under relevant sections of law has been registered into the matter and investigation has been taken up.
