SRINAGAR — Deputy Mayor, Srinagar Municipal Corporation Parvaiz Ahmad Qadri alongwith several concerned corporator accompanied with officers of the corporation, Jal Shakti Department and Drainage department visited the various of City including Astan Sharief Kalashpora, Shamswari, Shallapora Allochi Bagh, Danderkah Batamaloo , SD Colony Batamaloo and Sheikh Hamza Colony Batamaloo to took on spot review of development works and other civic services being provided by the corporation.
According to a press statement issued by the SMC said “Construction of new lavatory blocks at Astan Sharief Kalashpora Srinagar, repair and renovation of existing lavatory at Astan Sharief Kalashpora Srinagar, fencing of remaining portion of lawn at Astan Sharief Kalashpora Srinagar, development of graveyard at Shamaswari Srinagar, removal of encroachment at Shahaswari Srinagar, desliting of choked drainage system at Shallapora Allochi bagh, Installation of mainhole covers at various spot of Allochi Bagh Srinagar, construction and renovation of dilapidated lanes and drains at Allochi Bagh Srinagar, construction and renovation of dilapidated lanes and drains at Danderkah and SD Colony Batamaloo and construction of drainage system at Sheikh Hamza Colony Batamaloo were the new demands from the representatives of the areas.’
The Deputy Mayor, gave on spot directions to the concerned officers to take appropriate necessary action with respect to the issues pertaining to each of them and directed for framing of necessary estimates for providing detailed facilities as requested by the representatives of the areas, it said.
The representatives of the Astan Sharief Kalashpora, Shamswari, Shallapora Allochi Bagh, Danderkah Batamaloo thanked the Deputy Mayor for the visit and also ensured full cooperation with the SMC officials, the statement added. — (KDC)
