SRINAGAR — The Jammu Kashmir Police said that the news item doing rounds in media regarding the alleged rape of a si-year-old girl in fake.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, a senior Police official said that the news regarding the alleged rape of a six-year-old girl is fake and Police is verifying the claims.
The official said that the incident has been blown “out of proportion” and people must be very cautious in spreading such news.
“The news is absolutely fake. No rape has happened anywhere in Srinagar as reported by news agencies,” the Police official said.
Earlier a news report stating that a 6-year-old girl had been raped by her teacher in Srinagar went viral over social media.
