Govt teacher suspended over allegations of corporal punishment in Rajouri school

JAMMU — A government teacher posted in a school of Rajouri has been placed under suspension and attached in an administrative office after allegations of corporal punishment to a girl student of the school surfaced.

The allegations of corporal punishment to the girl student were levelled by her parent.

The father of girl alleged that she was beaten up by a school teacher terming it as a matter of ‘religious interference’. He alleged that she was beaten up by school teacher which in unacceptable.

Meanwhile, district administration have initiated an inquiry asking Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka to intiate an inquiry and to submit a report.

The district administration has further ordered attachment of said teacher namely Nisar Ahmed in the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka. — (KNO)
