SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Sunday forecast scattered light rain and thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.
The weather was inclement in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.
An official of the Meteorological Department said, Scattered light rain/thunderstorms is likely to occur in J&K during next 24 hours.
He said, Srinagar recorded 5.5 degrees Celsius and Pahalgam 1.2 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg recorded minus 0.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Sunday.
In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 14.2 degrees Celsius, Katra 11.0 degrees Celsius, Batote 6.3 degrees Celsius, Banihal 4.2 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 6.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 4.6 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 3.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
