SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast generally cloudy weather with chances of light rain or thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir during next 24 hours.
The weather was dry and cloudy in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.
An official of the Meteorological Department said, Generally cloudy sky with chances of light rain/thunderstorms likely in J&K during next 24 hours.
He said, in Kashmir region, Srinagar recorded 7.9 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 3.0 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 0.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature on Monday.
In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 16.3 degrees Celsius, Katra 14.0 degrees Celsius, Batote 9.0 degrees Celsius, Banihal 7.5 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 6.3 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Ladakh region, he said, Kargil recorded 3.6 degrees Celsius while Drass and Leh recorded minus 0.5 degrees Celsius and minus 2.5 as the minimum temperature.
