SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Friday forecast widespread intermittent light to moderate rain at few places in Jammu and Kashmir for the next 24 hours.
The weather was cloudy in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours. Some places received rainfall along with hailstorm and gusty winds during late afternoon and evening hours yesterday.
“Fairly widespread to widespread intermittent light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning with possibility of hailstorm and gusty winds is expected at few palces in Jammu and Kashmir today,“ an official of the Meteorological Department said.
“Intermittent light rain, thunder and lightning is expected at few palces in Jammu and Kashmir on May 27-28, 2023,“ he said.
He said, “From May 29-30, 2023, fairly widespread intermittent light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning with possibility of hailstorm and gusty winds is expected at few palces in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Meanwhile, The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 9.4°C, Qazigund 7.0°C, Anantnag 6.8°C, Kupwara 9.3°C, Kokernag 6.0°C, Gulmarg 2.2°C and Pahalgam 4.8°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Friday.
The winter capital Jammu recorded 19.4°C, Katra 16.5°C, Batote 11.5°C, Bhaderwah and Banihal each 8.5°C, Udhampur 16.0°C and Patnitop 11.0°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.
In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 1.2°C and Kargil 6.5°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
