SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Thursday predicted predominantly dry weather conditions in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir through the end of this month.
“The weather is expected to remain generally dry with the possibility of thundershower activity at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir from May 23-28,” an official of the Meteorological Department said.
“From May 29-31, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy, with light rain or thunder anticipated at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 15.0°C, Qazigund 11.8°C, Kupwara 11.5°C, Kokernag 12.3°C, Gulmarg 11.0°C, and Pahalgam 7.7°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Thursday.
The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 29.1°C, Katra 25.2°C, Batote 18.4°C, Banihal 15.2°C, and Bhaderwah 15.8°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.
In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 11.8°C and Kargil 9.4°C as the Minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
