ISLAMABAD — Pakistan’s star fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and his wife, Ansha Afridi, are celebrating the arrival of their first child.
The couple is blessed with a baby boy, whom they have named Ali Yar.
The Afridi family shared the joyful news on social media, where fans and well-wishers from around the globe extended their heartfelt congratulations.
This momentous occasion is particularly special for the cricketing family as former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, Shaheen’s father-in-law, celebrates becoming a grandfather for the first time.
The left-arm pacer is set to depart for Karachi tomorrow night following the conclusion of the first Test match against Bangladesh and will rejoin the team ahead of the second Test in Rawalpindi.
Shaheen and Ansha Shahid, the second eldest daughter of Shahid Afridi, got engaged in 2021.
Their nikkah was on February 3, 2023, with a week-long celebration and rukhsati in September 2023. The grand reception was held at DHA Golf and Country Club, attended by many former and current national team players.
