SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday announced additional relaxations in Covid-19 restrictions in eight districts of Union Territory.
The additional relaxations in Covid-19 measures have been announced in Poonch, Reasi, Ramban and Doda districts in Jammu division and Shopian, Kulgam, Ganderbal, and Bandipora districts in Kashmir division.
According to an order issued by Chief Secretary, a copy of which lies with Kashmir Independent Media Service – KIMS reads, “Barber Shops, Saloons and Parlors are permitted to open on all days in a week (except on Saturdays and Sundays)” adding “Standalone shops, Outdoor bazaars and Outdoor shopping complexes are also permitted to open on all days in a week (except on Saturdays and Sundays).”
It added that all government and private offices can function without any restrictions subject to strict adherence to COVID appropriate behavior.
The wholesale trade of Liquor shall continue to be permitted to operate on 5 days in a week (except Saturdays and Sundays) in the entire UT.
“The District Magistrates shall strictly ensure that there is full compliance to COVID appropriate behavior and defaulters are firmly dealt with under relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act and the Indian Penal Code,“ the order further added. — (KIMS)
