Ammunition, other incriminating materials recovered during search operation in Bandipora: Police

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police along with security force recovered ammunition, a grenade and other incriminating materials during cordon and search operation on Wednesday in Manz Mohalla, SK Bala Ajas village in Bandipora district of North Kashmir.

“Based on specific inputs, a search operation was launched by Bandipora Police, Army 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and CRPF 3rd Battalion in SK Bala Ajas, Sumbal, at the residential house of one person, namely Ishfaq Majeed Dar, son of Abdul Majeed Dar, resident of SK Bala Ajas, Sumbal. During the operation, a rusted hand grenade, five AK-47 rounds, and five posters of the proscribed terrorist outfit LeT were recovered from the back side of the said residential house,” police said in a statement.

“In this regard, a Case FIR No. 140/2021 U/S 307, 427 of IPC, 3/4 Exp. Sub. Act, 13, 16, 23 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act has been registered at Police Station Sumbal,” the statement added.

Further investigation into the case is going on. — (KIMS)
