SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Kashmiri author and young entrepreneur Mutahir Showkat has released his second book, ‘Nooruk Safar’, which delves into the lives and challenges of young people in Kashmir. This new work explores friendship, love, faith, and the struggle to find one’s path in difficult times.
In ‘Nooruk Safar’, a young boy from Kashmir navigates new friendships, experiencing both the highs and lows of life. Initially thrilled by a forbidden relationship, he soon finds himself entangled in trouble. This relationship begins to erode his peace, ultimately leading him down a path of addiction and loss. As he drifts further from his family and values, he reaches a breaking point, realizing he needs help.
In a moment of deep despair, he turns to Allah, seeking guidance and forgiveness. This marks the start of his journey back to peace and purpose, finding strength through faith and support from new connections, which help him rebuild his life.
Reflecting on the story, Mutahir shared, “Today, many young people fall into relationships that might seem exciting but often lead to sadness and bad habits. This story shows how easily someone can lose their way and how tough it can be to get back on the right path.”
Through ‘Nooruk Safar’, Mutahir aims to share an important message with Kashmiri youth—highlighting the dangers of harmful relationships and habits while emphasizing the hope that can be found in faith and self-reflection.
Mutahir’s first book, ‘Shadows That Shape Us’, also focused on self-growth and overcoming life’s obstacles. Through his books and podcasts, he hopes to inspire young people to make positive choices.
He expressed gratitude for the early positive response to ‘Nooruk Safar’, which is now available internationally on sites like Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
“People have connected with the book’s message of forgiveness and finding peace through faith,” he shared.
With ‘Nooruk Safar’, Mutahir Showkat offers young readers in Kashmir and beyond a story that reflects both the struggles and hopes of youth in today’s world. The book is now available internationally for those interested in a journey of redemption, faith, and resilience. — (KIMS)
