SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Saturday expressed profound grief and shock over the tragic loss of lives in the accidental blast at Nowgam Police Station, which claimed nine lives — including police and revenue officials — and left more than thirty others injured.

Javid Ahmad Tenga, President KCCI, while expressing deep sorrow over the tragedy, said the entire business community stands in solidarity with the bereaved families.

He conveyed heartfelt condolences to those who lost their loved ones and prayed for strength to bear the irreparable loss.

He added that the incident has also caused considerable damage to property in the surrounding areas, resulting in immense hardship for poorer sections, especially during the ongoing winter season.

He urged authorities to extend timely relief and assistance to all affected households so their immediate needs are addressed without delay.

KCCI also prayed for the swift recovery of all the injured and hoped that they receive all necessary medical care and support.

The Chamber said the heartbreaking tragedy has cast a deep shadow over society and reaffirmed its solidarity with all those affected. — (KIMS)
