SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on Thursday said that rising water levels in the Jhelum River are being closely monitored by field teams, with control rooms at the divisional and district levels functioning round the clock to coordinate preventive and remedial measures.
In a post on X, the Divisional Commissioner said that people residing near the river embankments have been advised not to panic, remain vigilant, and strictly follow advisories issued by the local administration.
The administration also urged residents to contact the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Srinagar, at 0194-2740003 for any assistance or emergency support.
Authorities said all necessary measures are in place to respond promptly to any emerging situation amid the rising river levels. — (KIMS)
