Govt approves ₹19.61 crore sewerage project for several Srinagar areas

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir government has approved a ₹19.61 crore project to develop a comprehensive sewerage network in several areas of Srinagar, the Chief Minister’s Office said on Sunday.

According to a post by the CM Office on X, the project will cover Ahmed Nagar, Pandach, Illahi Bagh, the right side of 90 Feet Road, Rangpora Zakura and Ghulab Bagh.

The government said the project is aimed at strengthening sewerage infrastructure, improving sanitation and enabling more efficient wastewater management across these localities.

The initiative is expected to benefit residents by enhancing civic amenities and supporting better public health and environmental standards in the covered areas. — (KIMS)
