SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess preparations for the inaugural International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026, scheduled to be held from September 7 to 10.
According to a post on X by the Office of the Chief Minister, the festival will feature film screenings, masterclasses for emerging filmmakers and cultural performances.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to ensure that Jammu and Kashmir’s rich heritage, cuisine, handicrafts, traditional art forms and iconic tourist destinations are prominently showcased during the festival.
Abdullah called for meticulous planning and seamless coordination among departments to ensure the successful conduct of the event and establish IFFJK as a premier annual fixture on the global film calendar. — (KIMS)
