SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday booked a notorious fraudster under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in Anantnag district as part of its efforts to maintain peace and public order and curb the activities of habitual offenders.
According to a police statement, the action was taken pursuant to a PSA detention warrant issued by the District Magistrate, Anantnag, against Tasaduq Hussain Dar, son of Abdul Gani Dar, a resident of Sadoora, Anantnag.
Police apprehended the detenue and after completing the prescribed legal formalities, lodged him in District Jail Bhaderwah under the provisions of the PSA.
Police said the action forms part of its efforts to take stringent legal measures against individuals involved in activities that disturb public order and cause harm to the general public.
Anantnag Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and public order and taking legal action against habitual offenders in accordance with law. — (KIMS)
