JAMMU — Two sisters, aged six and three, died after being bitten by a snake at their home in Rajouri district on Sunday, officials said.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the day in remote Manwa village of Teryath in Kalakote sub-division when the minors were asleep, they said.
The sisters, identified as Areeba, a class 1 student, and Ameeza, were rushed to a hospital but died on the way, officials said, adding that their father is currently working abroad. — (PTI)
