SAMBA — Samba Police have arrested an accused allegedly involved in a recent firing incident on the National Highway at Tarore in Bari Brahmana area, officials said on Friday.
The accused, identified as Harish alias Herry, son of Harbans Lal and a resident of Ranjri in Samba district, was arrested during a coordinated operation based on specific information about his movement, police said.
The operation was carried out by police teams during patrolling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
Police said Harish was wanted in connection with the firing incident that occurred on the NH at Tarore under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana.
A case, FIR No. 284/2026, has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana under Section 109 of the BNS and Sections 3/27 of the Arms Act. The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation, police said. — (KIMS)
