SHOPIAN — Socio-political activist Er. Maroof Ahmad Wani on Thursday met the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Shopian, and discussed various issues confronting the transport community.
During the meeting, Wani highlighted concerns related to the welfare of transporters and stressed the need for effective coordination between the concerned authorities and transport representatives to address their issues.
He emphasised the importance of creating a supportive and hassle-free environment for transport operators and called for a responsive administrative mechanism to ensure the timely resolution of pending issues.
Wani also stressed the need for constructive engagement between the Transport Department and the transport community to improve the overall functioning of the sector.
The meeting focused on dialogue and cooperation to address issues faced by transporters in Shopian.
