JAMMU — The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday assigned the additional charge of Chief Secretary to Shailendra Kumar, IAS, till the joining of Dr Sajjan Singh Yadav in the Union Territory.
According to a government order issued by the General Administration Department, Kumar, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, who also holds the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, shall look after the charge of Chief Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir, until Yadav joins.
In a separate order, the government ordered transfers and postings of six IAS officers with immediate effect.
As per the order, Shaleen Kabra, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Jal Shakti Department, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD).
Chandraker Bharti, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Home Department, shall also hold the charge of Financial Commissioner, Revenue Department, in addition to his existing duties.
M Raju, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, has been assigned the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Estates Department.
Saugat Biswas, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department, shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Jal Shakti Department.
Rehana Batul, Director General, IMPARD, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Tribal Affairs Department, relieving Avny Lavasa of the additional charge.
Meanwhile, Avny Lavasa, Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department, has been divested of the additional charge of Tribal Affairs Department and assigned the charge of Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department, in addition to her existing duties. — (KIMS)
