CM inspects construction of new Legislative Assembly Complex in Jammu

JAMMU — Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday inspected the ongoing construction work on the new Legislative Assembly Complex in Jammu and reviewed the pace of execution, emphasising its time-bound completion.

The six-level complex will house a modern Assembly Hall, Central Hall, visitor and press galleries, committee rooms and advanced building management systems.

The long-delayed project was revived after the present government accorded revised administrative approval in 2025, paving the way for its completion.

During the inspection, the chief minister directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to ensure close coordination, expedite the work and strictly adhere to the stipulated completion timeline. — (KIMS)
