JAMMU — Secretary, Tourism, Avny Lavasa, on Friday visited Kud, Patnitop and Sanasar areas falling under the jurisdiction of Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) to review ongoing tourism infrastructure projects and assess the functioning of the Authority.
During the tour, Lavasa reviewed key projects, including the Tulip Garden at Sanasar, golf course, beautification of Sanasar Lake, pathways, drainage, lighting and waste management.
She directed the executing agencies to expedite ongoing works and ensure their timely completion while maintaining quality standards.
The Secretary also stressed regular monitoring to prevent encroachments, proper maintenance of tourism assets and cleanliness of public facilities.
During an interaction with Ponywala representatives, Lavasa assured them that their demands regarding the construction of sheds and improvement of tracks would be examined on merit. — (KIMS)
