JK Bank refutes news reports about ‘appointment of outsiders’; terms it fake

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Wednesday refuted news reports regarding the appointment of 950 persons from Haryana and Punjab in J&K Bank, and terms it “false” and “fabricated”.

In an official handout, the Jammu & Kashmir Bank said, “All allegations regarding ‘appointment’ of 950 persons from Haryana and Punjab in the bank are absolutely false, baseless and complete nonsense”.

It also said the Bank has not made any such appointment as alleged in news report, circulating on social media.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Janata Dal United President for Jammu and Kashmir claimed that amidst rising unemployment, over 950 persons from Haryana and Punjab have been given jobs in Jammu and Kashmir which is totally injustice towards the people of Kashmir and the Dogras of Jammu.
