AAC visits families of slain civilians killed in Hyderpora gunfight

SRINAGAR — A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) Saturday visited the families of Altaf Ahmed Bhat and Dr Mudassir Gul and expressed solidarity on behalf of its incarcerated chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq over the tragic killings in the Hyderpora staged encounter.

The delegation conveyed that in this tragic hour the entire nation stands with the grief stricken families and prays for them.

Meanwhile, AAC in a statement also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Haji Muhammad Yasin Bhat of Zahid Pora Hawal, who was an active member of the organisation and was deeply associated with the Mirwaiz Family and also over the demise of an AAC member Shabir Ahmad Banday of Rajouri Kadal presently Moulvi Stop Lal Bazar Srinagar.

The AAC on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid glowing tributes to Haji Muhammad Yasin Bhat for his selfless services and sacrifices and expressed heartfelt condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family members especially his sons.

A delegation visited the homes of both the deceased in Hawal; and Lal Bazar and conveyed the condolence message of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to the bereaved families and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed souls. — (KNO)
