JAMMU (KIMS) — Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Monday said five-member high-level special team from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will arrive in Kishtwar on Tuesday for a two-day visit to assess the status of the proposed airport project under the Centre’s UDAN scheme.
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said in a post on X that the team has been deputed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and AAI to evaluate the proposal and will submit its report to higher authorities upon returning to Delhi. The findings will help chart the future roadmap for the project.
Dr. Singh said the initiative reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special focus on the development of far-flung regions, adding that each proposal and request for improving infrastructure in remote areas has received a positive response from the central government. — (KIMS)
