Amit Shah to begin 2-day Jammu visit today

NEW DELHI — Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be reaching Jammu on Friday for his two-day visit to the union territory.

The Minister will participate in the Raising Day of CRPF and also review the security situation in view of the delimitation exercise, Amarnath Yatra, and the proposed assembly elections.

According to inputs, Amit Shah will reach Jammu at around 6:30 pm today, after which he will go to the Raj Bhavan.

On Saturday, The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will hold its 83rd Raising Day in Jammu where the Union Home Minister will take the salute of the ceremonial parade and also address troops.

After this event, Amit Shah will chair a multi-agency security meeting at Raj Bhavan on various operations being conducted by the agencies in the union territory.

Following this, he is slated to visit Mahanpur in the Kathua district.

The Union Home Minister will hold another meeting in Jammu to review the security scenario in view of the delimitation exercise, annual Amarnath Yatra, and the proposed assembly elections.
