Anantnag (KIMS): Two militants were killed in a gunbattle that broke out between Government Forces and Militants at Shalgul Forests in Sirhama area of Bijbehara town in Southern Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
The identification and affiliation of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, Government Forces including Indian Army’s 3RR, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police had jointly launched a Cordon and Search Operation following the specific inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, mobile internet service has been snapped down in Anantnag district as a precautionary measure. (KIMS)
