Channi Singh seeks immediate resumption of road connectivity in Sub-District Tral

SRINAGAR (VEN) — Senior Congress leader and Vice-President of Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Surinder Singh Channi, has called for the immediate resumption of road connectivity across Sub-district Tral, particularly in the upper regions such as Aripal block and Machama belt, which have been severely affected by the recent moderate to heavy snowfall.

In a statement, Channi expressed deep concern over the plight of residents in the remote areas of Sub-district Tral, including Awantipora, who have been cut off due to the snow-bound conditions.

He emphasized the urgent need to restore transportation access to these regions to prevent further hardship for the local population.

Channi specifically highlighted the critical road spots at Khancinag and Herdomir/Drambal, where snow accumulation has led to significant transportation disruptions.

He urged the concerned administration to take immediate and persistent measures to clear snow from these routes to facilitate the safe and timely resumption of connectivity.

“Restoring road access in these areas is a matter of utmost priority to ensure the well-being of the residents and to prevent further inconvenience caused by the ongoing weather conditions,” Channi said, calling on the authorities to address the issue at the earliest. — (VEN)
