SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps on Thursday organized a special function to honour the Women Achievers of Kashmir.
Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor (LG) of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was the Chief Guest who gave away the certificates and medallions to the achievers in a solemn ceremony at Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar in attendance of Chinar Corps Commander and other senior military officials.
The objective of this function was to honour the women who have contributed to the prosperity of Kashmir and have displayed the true attributes of ‘Nari Shakti’.
The event was witnessed by civilian dignitaries, senior army officials and ladies alongwith NCC Cadets and school going children.
The LG of also addressed the gathering and thanked the Women Achievers for their positive contribution and highlighted the importance of women participation in development of the Nation as a whole, and also stressed the need to support and encourage their contribution in Nation building.
The ceremony marked a Stepping Stone in recognition of women talent and was an inspiration to empower them for ‘Badalta Kashmir’ and ‘Naya Bharat’. — (KIMS)
