SRINAGAR (KIMS) — A civilian and an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) were shot dead by suspected militants in two different attacks in Kashmir valley on Wednesday evening.
The first attack was reported from Srinagar city where a civilian was shot dead by suspected militants outside his residence at Mirjanpora Nawakadal area of Srinagar. He has been identified as Rouf Ahmad Khan, son of Muhammad Shafi Khan.
Reports said, he was fired upon and injured by suspected militants outside his residence following which he was rushed to SMHS Hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
Similar kind of attack was reported from Bijbehara area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir where an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was shot at and critically injured by suspected militants. He succumbed to his injuries on way to Srinagar hospital. He has been identified as Muhammad Ashraf from Awantipora. — (KIMS)
