Congress stages Sit-in Protest at Srinagar against summoning of Sonia, Rahul

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee senior leader Taj Mohiudin and State General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi along with other party workers on Monday staged a sit-in protest at party head office in Srinagar over the summoning of party president Smt. Sonia Gandhi and leader Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

They raised slogans in favor of the leaders and were holding placards on which slogans in favour of party were written.

“We were fearless then, we are fearless now, we fought then, we fight now. To protect the values and principles that uphold national interest. Satyameva Jayate”, reads a placard.

The Congress leaders also staged a protest in New Delhi over the summoning of their president and leader by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The Delhi Police had imposed Section 144 of CrPC preventing the assembly of more than four people in the area asking them not to violate the law. — (KIMS)
