SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) has issued a low level avalanche warning in Kupwara district of North Kashmir.
The avalanche warning has been issued in the district in view of recent snowfall in upper reaches of the Kashmir valley.
“Avalanche with low danger level is likely to occur above 2800 metres above sea level in Kupwara district in next 24 hours,” the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) said.
“People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing in the avalanche prone areas till further orders,” it said. — (KIMS)
