SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo, the current Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), who is set to retire later this month, is expected to join the National Conference (NC) following his retirement.
According to sources, Dr. Itoo is likely to assume the role of political advisor within the party. He is also expected to be fielded as the NC’s Rajya Sabha candidate from the Doru-Shahabad seat in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Hailing from Doru, Anantnag, Dr. Itoo holds a Master of Arts (MA) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).
In his administrative career, Dr. Itoo has served in several key positions, including Mission Director, Jal Shakti Department; Director, School Education Kashmir; Director, Tourism Kashmir; District Development Commissioner, Baramulla; and Director, Estates Department. — (KIMS)
