Dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir till May 12: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecast dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir till May 12, 2023.

The weather was mainly dry in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, The weather will remain mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir till May 12.

He said, From May 13-14, Rain, thunderstorm and lightening is expected at many places of Kashmir region and few places of Jammu region during the late afternoon or evening.

He said, From May 15-16, Partly cloudy weather is expected in the Union Territory.

He said, From May 17-19, Light rain, thunder and lightning is expected at many places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 6.4°C, Anantnag 3.8°C, Qazigund 4.0°C, Kupwara 4.2°C, Gulmarg 1.0°C and Kokernag 4.3°C while Pahalgam recorded minus 0.3°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Wednesday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 15.8°C, Katra 15.0°C, Batote 9.7°C, Bhaderwah 6.0°C, Udhampur 14.0°C, Patnitop 9.6°C and Banihal 8.4°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Kargil recorded 0.8°C while Leh recorded minus 3.8°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
