Earthquake with 3.5 magnitude hits J&K

JAMMU — An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Katra on Thursday morning.

As per the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at the depth of five kilometres and about 84 km East of Katra at around 3:03 am.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, Occurred on 17-02-2022, 03:02:45 IST, Lat: 33.08 & Long: 75.83, Depth: 5 Km ,Location: 84km E of Katra, Jammu and Kashmir,”tweeted the government agency NCS.

There have been no reports of any damage or loss of life so far.

Yesterday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 hit Pahalgam in South Kashmir.
