SRINAGAR [Sheikh Nadeem] (KIMS) — On the auspicious day of Arbaeen, Ehsaas Foundation, in collaboration with Smile Foundation and Noor-ul-Huda Foundation, organized a free medical camp at Khomaini Chowk, Bemina.
The camp, aimed at serving the local community, was attended by hundreds of residents, offering essential medical services on this significant day.
As part of the broader observance of Arbaeen, the Chehlum of the martyrs of Karbala, the medical camp was one of many events marked by thousands across Jammu and Kashmir.
Arbaeen, observed 40 days after Ashura, is a day of deep reflection and mourning in the Islamic calendar, commemorating the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Hussain, in the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD.
Shia mourners congregated at various venues, including Zadibal Budgam, Bemina, Hasanabad, Chatabal, Budibugh Baramulla, and Sonpah Beerwa, to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala.
The medical camp provided important services, including general health check-ups, consultations, and the distribution of medicines.
The initiative was well-received by attendees, who appreciated the timely and compassionate care provided by the foundations. — (KIMS)
