Indian Army fecilitates veterans at Panzgam Kupwara

KUPWARA — On the occasion of Republic Day celebrations and to commemorate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Indian Army organised a veteran’s meet at Panzgam on 25 January 2022.

The aim of the meet was to honour the veteran’s fraternity and express gratitude for their illustrious service to the nation & the Army.

A total of 21 veterans enthusiastically attended the meet enduring cold weather spell and third wave of COVID pandemic to meet the serving ranks.

As part of the event, Army apprised veterans of various schemes and facilities available to them from Army & J&K government.

Veteran counter was also established to assist veterans for clarifying their financial anomalies pertaining to pension & other arrears.

Online registration of veterans on Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat website was also carried out for them.

Relevant issues pertaining to their health condition was attended by medical officers for providing medical care to old aged veterans.

Details of third booster dose were also disseminated to veterans and were encouraged for the same. The felicitation of veterans on the occasion was also carried out.

All veterans have appreciated the efforts of Indian Army and have lauded the initiative.
