Infiltration bid foiled in Uri, two militants killed

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The security forces on Wednesday foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri Sector of Baramulla district in North Kashmir.

Police said, the two militants who were trying to infiltrate were neutralized by the vigilant security forces.

Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition was recovered from the infiltrating militants, they said.

The militants who were killed in the infiltration bid have been identified as Bashir Ahmad Malik, a launch commander in PoJ&K and Ahmad Gani Sheikh.

According to Army, Bashir has enabled infiltration of countless militants across the Line of Control (LoC). — (KIMS)
