Jaish associate arrested in Awantipora; Grenade recovered: Police

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Police on Friday said they along with security forces arrested a terrorist associate involved in supporting terror activities in the Naner Midoora area of Awantipora tehsil in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.

Police said that acting on credible input about the movement of a suspect at Naner Midoora, Awantipora Police, in a joint operation with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF, launched a search in the area.

During the operation, one terrorist associate — Musaib Nazir, son of Nazir Ahmad Teli, resident of Ladhoo Khrew and linked with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was apprehended. A grenade was recovered from his possession.

He has been booked in FIR No. 257/2025 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Awantipora. Further investigation has been initiated. — (KIMS)
