Jeevan Babu K reviews election preparations for 36-Zainapora Assembly Constituency

SHOPIAN [Sheikh Nadeem] (KIMS) — General Observer Jeevan Babu K conducted a comprehensive meeting with the Returning Officer (RO) and Nodal Officers today at the Mini Secretariat to review preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in the 36-Zainapora Assembly Constituency.

The meeting was attended by various constituency and district nodal officers responsible for election-related activities.

During the session, each Nodal Officer provided updates on key preparations, including Home Voting, Postal Ballots for essential services, Receipt & Dispatch, Material Management, SVEEP, Webcasting, Trainings, the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), C-Vigil, campaign permissions, Voter Guide and Information Slip distribution, and polling station facilities. These topics were discussed in detail.

The Observer emphasized the importance of leveraging social media to highlight SVEEP activities across the constituency, urging the involvement of influencers, students, and local icons to share election engagement content.

Specific instructions were issued for Home Voting, with the Observer requesting a detailed plan and schedule. He also called for daily reports on the activities of the Flying Squad Teams (FST), Static Surveillance Teams (SST), C-Vigil operations, and campaign permissions.

Jeevan Babu also instructed the officers to ensure proper facilities at all polling stations, focusing on sanitation, lighting, and toilets. He stressed the importance of providing refreshments for polling staff and assigning dedicated personnel to assist Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and other vulnerable voters on polling day.
