SRINAGAR (KIMS) — In a significant move, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a reshuffle in the police department, transferring and posting seven IPS and 14 JKPS officers with immediate effect.
According to an order, Mr. Abdul Ghani Mir (IPS, AGMUT:1994), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF, J&K, relieving Mr. Alok Kumar of the additional charge of the post.
Mr. Mohd. Yaseen Kichloo (IPS, AGMUT:2013), SSP CICE Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Principal STC Talwara vice Mr. Mohd. Arif Rishu, while Mr. Shobhit Saxena (IPS, AGMUT:2015), SSP Kathua, has been posted as SSP Security, J&K.
Ms. Tanushree (IPS, AGMUT:2017), SP SIA HQ, has been transferred and posted as SSP Pulwama vice Ms. P.D. Nitya, whereas Mr. Sahil Sarangal (IPS, AGMUT:2017), SSP Kulgam, has been posted as SSP Handwara vice Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad.
Ms. Mohita Sharma (IPS, AGMUT:2017), AIG Provisions, has been transferred and posted as SSP Kathua vice Mr. Shobhit Saxena, and Mr. Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS, AGMUT:2017), SSP Shopian, has been posted as SSP Kulgam vice Mr. Sahil Sarangal.
The order also includes the transfer and posting of several JKPS officers. Mr. Mohd. Arif Rishu (JKPS:1999), Principal STC Talwara, has been posted as Director CTC Lethpora, while Mr. Benam Tosh (JKPS:1999), SSP EOW Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, replacing Mr. Ramnish Gupta.
Mr. Harmeet Singh Mehta (JKPS:2001), SSP Bandipora, has been posted as Commandant 13 IR, while Mr. Javid Iqbal (JKPS:2001), Commandant 6 JKAP, has been appointed AIG CT & Intelligence vice Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Zargar.
Similarly, Mr. Mohd. Fiesel Qureshi (JKPS:2002), Staff Officer to IGP Crime, has been posted as SSP EOW Jammu vice Mr. Benam Tosh. Mr. Ramnish Gupta (JKPS:2004), Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, has been transferred and posted as SSP CICE Jammu vice Mr. Mohd. Yaseen Kichloo.
Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Zargar (JKPS:2004) has been posted as SSP Bandipora vice Mr. Harmeet Singh Mehta, and Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad (JKPS:2004) as SSP Shopian vice Mr. Anayat Ali Choudhary.
Among other postings, Mr. Ashiq Hussain Tak (JKPS:2008) has been appointed Dy.CO 6 IR, Mr. Owaise Rashid (JKPS:2012) as Addl. SP Ganderbal, Mr. Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai (JKPS:2012) as Dy.CO 11 IR, Mr. Gh. Mustafa Bhat (JKPS:2012) as Dy.CO 17 IR, Mr. Shahzada Kabir Mattoo (JKPS:2012) as Dy.CO 9 JKAP, and Mr. Ashish Gupta (JKPS:2012) as Dy.CO 5 IR. — (KIMS)
