Junaid Mattu resigns from Apni Party, extends support to successor

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Junaid Mattu, Mayor of Srinagar and Altaf Bukhari-led Apni Party leader has resigned as the Youth President of the party.

Mattu, in a tweet on Monday informed about his resignation from the party. Mattu said that he has tendered his resignation from the post of youth president of Apni Party.

“Have tendered my resignation as the Youth President of @Apnipartyonline. I thank Party President @AltafBukhari01 Sb for this responsibility and also extend gratitude to the @YouthJKAP team,” Mattu said in a tweet.

Mattu also extended his support to his successor and the party.

“With all humility at my command, I extend my full support to my successor and the party,” he tweeted.

Mattu had joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party in 2020 after resigning from People’s Conference. Before that he was part of National Conference from 2014-19. — (KIMS)
