SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, on Thursday dismissed two teachers from the School Education Department for their alleged involvement in activities prejudicial to the security of the state.
According to two separate government orders, Maajid Iqbal Dar, a teacher from Kheora area of Rajouri district, and Gh Hussain, a teacher from Kalwa Mulass area of Reasi district, have been terminated from service under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India.
The orders stated that the Lieutenant Governor was satisfied, after considering the facts and circumstances of the cases and on the basis of the information available, that the activities of the said employees were such as to warrant their dismissal from service in the interest of the security of the state, and that it was not expedient to hold an inquiry against them.
So far, dozens of government employees have been terminated from service by the LG-led administration over similar grounds in the past few years. — (KIMS)
