SRINAGAR — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced the sanctioning of 5,061 houses in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir that were damaged in recent natural calamities.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan for approving the special project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), which aims to restore safety and stability for thousands of affected households.
“The new homes will help families regain economic stability and improve overall well-being,” he said in a post on X.
