JAMMU (KIMS) — The Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Mr. Manoj Sinha on Saturday visited the residence of Havaldar Abdul Majid in Ajote area of Poonch district in Jammu region.
Sinha also offered his condolences to the bereaved family of the slain cop who along with four other soldiers was killed in an anti-militancy operation in Kalakote area of Rajouri district.
The entire nation is proud of his valor and courage, Sinha said while paying homage to the slain cop, Havaldar Abdul Majid.
The Office of LG J&K in a post on X (formerly Twitter) said, “Visited the home of Hav Abdul Majid in Poonch, who was martyred during an anti-militancy operation in Rajouri and offered my condolences to the bereaved family. His family has a long history of service & sacrifices for motherland. Entire nation is proud of his valour & courage.”
The Lieutenant Governor also commended security forces for conducting successful operations to wipe out militant ecosystem.
He said that the operations against militant ecosystem and those aiding and abetting militants will be intensified.
“I commend our Army, J&K Police and CAPFs for well-planned counter-terrorism operations to wipe out militant ecosystem. We will intensify our operations against militant ecosystem & those aiding and abetting militants & make sure they pay a very heavy price for their heinous actions,” the post said. — (KIMS)
