SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Saturday forecast light rain, thunderstorm and lightning in Jammu and Kashmir for next two days.
The weather was dry in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
There is possibility of rain, thunderstorm and lightening at few places in Jammu and Kashmir during the late afternoon or evening on May 13 and 14, an official of the Meteorological Department said.
He said, From May 15-16, Partly cloudy weather is expected in the Union Territory.
Light rain, thunder and lightning is expected at many places in Jammu and Kashmir during the evening of May 17 and late afternoon or evening of May 18, he said.
He said, From May 19-20, Generally cloudy weather with light rain, thunder at few places is expected in the Union Territory.
Meanwhile, The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 10.9°C, Qazigund and Gulmarg each 8.0°C, Kupwara 6.7°C, Pahalgam 5.0°C and Kokernag 10.5°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Saturday.
The winter capital Jammu recorded 23.5°C, Katra 20.1°C, Batote 14.2°C, Bhaderwah 11.2°C and Banihal 10.2°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.
In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 3.0°C and Kargil 5.7°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
