Mainly clear weather in Jammu and Kashmir till June 12

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Saturday forecast mainly clear weather in Jammu and Kashmir till June 12, 2023.

The weather was inclement in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

Today, mainly clear weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, an official of the Meteorological Department said. A brief spell of rain, thunder and lightning may occur at some places towards late afternoon or evening, although chances are less, he said.

He said, From June 4-12, 2023, Mainly dry weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir but a brief spell of shower/thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. The temperature will gradually increase during this period, he said.

Meanwhile, The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 9.8°C, Anantnag 8.0°C, Qazigund 8.2°C, Kupwara 9.5°C, Kokernag 8.1°C, Gulmarg 3.2°C and Pahalgam 5.1°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Saturday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 18.6°C, Katra 17.2°C, Batote 10.7°C, Bhaderwah 8.9°C, Banihal 8.4°C, Udhampur 16.2°C and Patnitop 10.6°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 1.6°C and Kargil 9.2°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
