Mainly dry weather in J&K till October 13: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The weather will remain partly cloudy in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir till October 13, 2023, the Meteorological Department (MeT) said on Tuesday.

“The weather will remain cloudy in Kashmir valley and Doda-Kishtwar region of Jammu division today,” an official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said. “A brief spell of rain and snowfall over higher reaches may occur but chances are less,” he said.

“The weather will remain mainly dry from October 11 to 13,” he said.

“Intermittent light to moderate rain and snowfall over higher reaches is expected at many places of Jammu and Kashmir from October 14 to 17,“ he said.

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 9.5°C, Anantnag 8.9°C, Qazigund 8.2°C, Kupwara 8.7°C, Gulmarg 1.0°C, Kokernag 7.6°C and Pahalgam 6.0°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 15.9°C, Katra 14.6°C, Batote 9.0°C, Bhaderwah 7.6°C, Banihal 7.4°C, Udhampur NA and Patnitop NA as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 2.4°C and Kargil NA as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
